WEBINAR: Minnesota Paid Leave Law Primer - Preparing for January 1, 2026
ABOUT
Effective January 1, 2026, all employers with one or more employees in Minnesota must comply with the new Paid Leave Law. This webinar will provide a detailed overview of the law, including eligibility requirements, coordination of benefits (such as paid time off, earned sick and safe time, and short-term disability), premiums, required notices, wage supplementation, and options for equivalent coverage.
Our speaker, Corie Anderson, will also cover IRS guidance related to contribution deductions, what is included or excluded from gross income, benefits, and reporting and withholding requirements. Additionally, they will address the upcoming changes in Minnesota regarding mandated paid rest breaks and unpaid meal breaks, including any associated penalties.
