SPEAKER
Todd Hill is the Founder and President of Hill Capitol Strategies and has more than 30 years of experience in politics and government affairs in Minnesota. Prior to establishing Hill Capitol Strategies, Hill was the Co-Founder of Cook Hill Girard Associates and spent 12 years as a Senior and Managing Partner of the highly successful firm. Hill is nationally respected for his government affairs abilities and knowledge of the legislative and political process.
Hill has a successful record of coalition and campaign management, fundraising and government affairs representation. He has built his reputation by representing a broad range of clients and effectively managing controversial issues. He is also known for his ability to both design and implement complex strategies and multi-faceted public affairs programs.
Over the years, Hill has represented numerous Fortune 500 companies, business trade associations, coalitions and non-profit organizations. He has worked on a variety of issues ranging from telecommunication reform to taxes, business regulations to tort reform. Hill is also actively involved in developing and managing coalitions for his public affairs clients.
Before entering the lobbying profession, Hill worked on behalf of a number of elected officials political operations including those of former Minnesota Governor Arne Carlson, former U.S. Senator Norm Coleman former Minnesota Senate Minority Leader Duane Benson and former U.S. Congressman Rick Hill. He has also served as a fundraising and campaign consultant to both the Minnesota House and Senate Republican caucuses.
Hill and his wife, Jeannette, live in Maple Grove, Minnesota and have three grown children, Kadrian, Parker and Peyton. Hill serves on a number of community organizations including the Three Rivers Park First Tee Advisory Committee and on the Board of the National Association of State Lobbyist. In 2013, Hill was recognized by his peers, the St. Paul Legal Ledger Capitol Report and Politics in Minnesota as the "Lobbyist of the Year."
