Workforce Innovation: How Data Will Change The Way We Solve People Challenges
As Scott Burns built St. Paul-based tech startup GovDelivery from 0-250 people, he had to transition from entrepreneur to leader. Scott will discuss his lessons learned and why he pushed his team to form a tight partnership with HR and talent leaders.
During this interactive discussion, attendees will learn:
1) Why executives should transition from an overhead to a strategic mindset when it comes to HR.
2) 3 ways people data and empowerment of employees can solve fundamental organizational challenges.
3) Why data and artificial intelligence won’t replace us, but it will make us better.
After successfully navigating GovDelivery through a $153 million sale and then merger with Granicus, Scott launched Structural. Structural solves one of the fundamental challenges of modern work by using people data to empower everyone within highly-skilled organizations to find and activate the right talent at the right time to close deals, solve problems, and form winning teams. Giving HR leaders a seat at the table wasn’t without its challenges. Seemingly simple tasks hit roadblocks in building a dynamic culture where small teams could form quickly, talent was well understood, and people felt connected.
GovDelivery used its people strategy to win in the market driving extraordinary levels of employee engagement and performance that was recognized in awards, Glass Door reviews, and growth.
